The given theses are dedicated to the development of relay protection and automation equipment test methods and means. Study actuality is associated with the Latvian energy efficient and sustainable operations, plans and development strategies, diversity in the field of energy. Analysis of Latvian energy transmission network relay protection and automation functioning statistic, as well as the existing test methods and equipment proved the efficiency and advantages of testing method, which is based on statistical approach and Monte-Karlo method. The structure of relay protection and automation terminal for using in Baltic countries is synthesized, as well testing equipment for electrical telecommunication channels is designed. The developed algorithms and equipment was used and installed on energy transmission grid for substations and power lines in Latvia. The results showed that used algorithms and methods were successful. Theses are written in Latvian language. It contains an introduction, Chapter 4, conclusions and recommendations and literature list. The work contains 58 images, 2 tables, for a total of 130 pages. Specify the list of 88 used literature sources.
