In the present work there was considered the fatigue problem in aviation and the impact of the choice of the inspection program on the reliability of the fleet. The particular attention was paid to the analysis of the estimated probability of failure of the structural element of aircraft and models that were used to describe the problem. Main tasks of the work were analysis of method of inspection planning, development of methodic that allows nominating of inspection program for the fleet of aircraft to ensure required reliability level when fatigue crack parameters are not known, but there are a limited number of acceptance fatigue test results. Development of a methodic that will allow nomination of the most profitable safe-life nomination under fatigue failure rate limitation is considered also. Aircraft fleet reliability is considered and the main distinctions from previous works are: if at least one crack is discovered in a whole fleet of aircraft then specified maintenance of each aircraft in fleet is made to prevent a fatigue failure. Reliability calculations depend on a new aircraft service beginning rate.
